Auntie Cotton Candy (Sylvia Leung Zi-On), as the Hong Kong Story Ambassador, has over ten years of experience telling stories at various organizations, schools, The Education University of Hong Kong, nursing homes, shopping malls, and book clubs. She has served as a judge for numerous storytelling competitions. Over the years, she has brought the power of picture books into the community, creating parent-child bonding time, fostering children's interest in reading, and guiding parents to enjoy the fun of interpreting stories in different ways.
Story Synopsis
The story is inspired by Mr. Ah Nong's book "The Burger and Char Siu Bao", which explores the generational conflict arising from differences in food culture. The protagonists, Little Keung and his grandfather, each have their own preferences—Little Keung loves burgers, while his grandfather favors char siu bao. Their differing tastes lead to a lunchtime disagreement, causing them to part ways—grandfather heads off for char siu bao, while Little Keung goes for a burger. However, their mutual care and concern bring them back together. In the end, Little Keung joins his grandfather in savoring char siu bao, gradually developing a fondness for this traditional delicacy.
